PORT HADLOCK, Wash. - Insurance Services Group is excited to announce its grand opening in Jefferson County. In July, we opened the doors to our new office location in Port Hadlock. New paint, new carpet, new signs, and insurance opportunities await. Whether you have questions regarding your car insurance, are looking for new home insurance, or need help protecting your business - our team of personal and commercial agents can help find a solution to fit each and every individual need.
Meet our team:
Joan Sommantico is a commercial and personal insurance producer with more than 15 years of experience in the industry. Her path to the insurance world started at her aunt’s office where she handled personal insurance accounts. Someone once told Joan, “Nobody goes to school to be an insurance agent but life’s path will lead people there.” That’s exactly what happened. Drawn to the service side of the business – Joan enjoys helping people find a solution to fit their need. Joan’s love of helping extends beyond people. She holds a special place in her heart for horses – teaching riding lessons and working with troubled horses. Infact, if Joan could invite any three people to dinner one of those seats would include Tom Dorrance for his sheer knowledge of the animal. Her guest list also includes – “Oprah to keep the conversation going and Edgar Allen Poe to keep everyone on their toes.”
Melissa Pernsteiner started her career in the insurance industry as an Account Manager and quickly decided she wanted to get her license. She is committed to helping individuals and families find the protection they need. A Jefferson County native, Melissa enjoys working with longtime members of the community as well as welcoming new residents to the area. She finds it rewarding to be part of a team that values building lasting relationships with clients while finding the perfect solution to fit each insurance need. Melissa definitely keeps busy outside the office too – spending time with her husband, teen-aged daughter, two dogs, 10 chickens, and a rabbit. One of her goals is to take a trip to Guam and visit her son serving in the Navy. Should Melissa ever find herself stranded on a deserted island – she knows exactly what she would need to survive – “Coffee, my little dog Ozzy, and a stack of celebrity gossip magazines.”
As a licensed agent since 2010, Shannon Severn understands how frustrating of an experience it can be to find the right insurance. That’s why she’s determined to make the process as easy as possible for her clients in Jefferson County. Shannon has a passion for new experiences and travel. If she’s not in the office you will likely find her hiking, backpacking, or planning her next adventure abroad. So far, she’s visited South Africa, France, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia. Now, if she could only harness the super power of teleportation Shannon would be all set. “I can just imagine all the amazing adventures I could have! If I have a craving for lasagna, I could just pop over to Naples for dinner and still be home in time for bed!”
Feel free to stop by or call any time.
